Gibson Flying V model details
1989–90 Gibson Flying V 90 Double
The V90 Double is the two-pickup version of the high-performance Flying V 90: a neck single-coil pickup paired with a bridge humbucker. The standard V90 has one humbucker. The Double has a 24-fret ebony fingerboard, a longer 25.5-inch scale, controls that let the player split the humbucker, and a distinctive fold-out stand built into its lower wing.
Identification note: The bright-yellow guitar previously pictured here has one humbucker, so it belongs with the standard V90, not the Double. Its photos are on the 1988 Flying V 90 page. The Double photographs below show black and Alpine White examples.
